Young and old will enjoy the Nativity scene with Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus and the 3 Wise Men. Children can walk in and pet the animals (bunnies, chickens and sheep). The Nativity scene was realised by volunteers of the Petting Zoo ‘De Goudse Hofsteden’.

GordijnOpzij perform “Er kan nog meer bij” (“there is space for more”). Together with Marleen van Os, Ben Bijker surprises again with a performance based on an old fairy tale: A woodcutter loses his mitten (glove) in the forest. He can’t find it anywhere. Then he goes home, it’s cold, it’s winter. Come and see and listen to how it ends!

For Gouda by Candlelight, the Boekfiets (book bike) is equipped with two beautiful Christmas stories that are alternately read to children and their parents. Moving and singing together and then relaxing with a nice story. Then we get to work with a movement verse in the theme of Christmas. A nice moment of rest on this festive day!“Boekfiets” is a concept of Stichting Aanzet and is offered by the Brede School. The Boekfietsers/Book bikers read aloud with the help of a storytelling box. This way the reading and story telling is literally cycled to children and parents!
