Van Nieuwpoort Group Signs Co-Main Sponsorship of Gouda by Candlelight
Gouda by Candlelight is proud to announce that, in addition to main sponsors Rabobank Hollandse IJssel and Zorgpartners Midden-Holland, the Van Nieuwpoort Group has also committed to the event as its main sponsor for three years. The Van Nieuwpoort Group, a family business established in Gouda since 1923, supplies building materials and products through a chain of companies. For over a century, the group has laid a solid foundation for a sustainably built living environment. Starting this year, Van Nieuwpoort will also contribute to the foundation of one of the city’s most cherished events: Gouda by Candlelight.
The three-year sponsorship agreement was signed on Monday, September 22nd by Gerard van Nieuwpoort, shareholder of the Van Nieuwpoort Group, Frank Koote, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Paul Buis, Chairman of Gouda by Candlelight.
Gerard van Nieuwpoort and Frank Koote emphasize the importance of this partnership: “As a Gouda family business, we feel a strong connection to the city and its residents. Connection is one of our core values. That’s why we believe it’s important to sponsor initiatives that bring people together, such as Gouda by Candlelight. This event connects generations and contributes to the unique atmosphere and pride of Gouda.”
Paul Buis is delighted with this new partnership: “The costs of organizing Gouda by Candlelight have risen dramatically in recent years. Thanks to this support from the Van Nieuwpoort Group, we can ensure the continuity of our event. We are therefore very grateful that the Van Nieuwpoort Group has associated its name with our event for three years.”
