We were delighted when the municipality of Gouda announced the contractor for the renovations and indicated that the impact on the Market Square in 2025 would be much less significant than we had feared. This means that the ceremony by the tree can still take place around the City Hall steps as per usual.
Of course, we will face some challenges, since there will be renovations taking place at city hall. But we are confident that neither the quality nor the atmosphere of our beautiful event will suffer because of this. We will use the summer holidays to find solutions for these challenges, and starting in September we will provide more information about the ceremony, the opening concert, and the other performances in the city.
