Friday, December 13th, it’s that time again: the 69th edition of Gouda by Candlelight. The program kicks off again this year in the early afternoon at locations throughout Gouda’s city center. Not everything is known yet, but we can already reveal that this year’s program at the tree will feature no fewer than two headliners. The first one has now been announced, and we are proud to announce that Leona Philippo will be one of the headliners this year.
Leona Philippo made her breakthrough in 2012 when she won the third season of The Voice of Holland. After her victory, an impressive career began, in which she collaborated with major artists such as Afrojack, Junky XL, Candy Dulfer, and Lionel Richie. In 2016, she won the final of the third season of Maestro, taking home the prestigious Golden Baton.
This year’s program once again features a mix of traditional and new elements. Traditionally, there’s a program at the tree. In addition, the city center will be a stage for music, theater, and much more from early afternoon until late at night. And this year, there are new initiatives to surprise visitors.
