This year, Gouda by Candlelight will kick off again on Friday, December 13th at 2:30 PM with a free opening concert at the Goudse Schouwburg. This year, too, the Gouwe Bigband and singer Stefanie Kenter will perform!
The Gouwe Bigband was founded in 2019 and is part of a foundation with the aim of promoting jazz culture for young and old in the Gouwe region. Young people are also encouraged to make music and, where possible, to provide a stage within the band.
The band’s success in this is reflected in its composition. A diverse group in which young soloists take on their roles. The band has now grown to 20 members and is led by Marijn Wigman.
The repertoire ranges from Pop, Soul & From jazz to authentic Latin, but also with TV and film influences. Music you can’t sit still to!
The opening concert will take place on Friday, December 13th, from 2:30 PM to 3:40 PM and is free to attend. Reservations are not required. For more information about the Schouwburg’s programming, www.goudseschouwburg.nl. The Gouda by Candlelight program will be announced soon!
