F/G. Poetry rooms of Keizerstraat 57 and 81
City and polder poets, accompanied by musicians, present atmospheric poems in the Poets’ Rooms. Due to its great success, there are two Poets’ Rooms again this year, located almost next to each other in the historic Keizerstraat, which has been transformed into one large Christmas theater. Last year, the Poets, combined with music, were a crowd-pleaser!

In the living room of Keizerstraat 57, you’ll find Poets by Candlelight, along with Katakat. Music and spoken word come together in a Christmas living room suite. Poets, including junior poets, will present atmospheric poems, interspersed with music by Katakat.
This vibrant musical duo has been performing at Gouda by Candlelight for years. The duo plays exclusively their own songs, in both Dutch and English.

In the living room of Keizerstraat 81, you’ll find Poets by Candlelight with pianist Ronald Nijenhuis. A historic building, an ensuite room, a beautiful grand piano, and a Christmas tree. Here, too, musical art and spoken word intertwine, as the poets and a storyteller express themselves in an atmospheric way, interspersed with piano playing by Ronald Nijenhuis.
