This year, visitors to Gouda by Candlelight who travel by public transport will once again receive a musical welcome in Gouda’s station hall on the city center side.

Ruta Voices is a Netherlands-based vocal ensemble that brings the rich heritage of Ukrainian music to life. With a repertoire ranging from traditional folk songs to contemporary compositions, they connect culture, history, and emotion in a powerful musical experience.

 

 

3:00 PM – 3:45 PM
Wendy Barten and Gerben Budding present an atmospheric program with works by Telemann, Bach, and Baker, complemented by beautiful Christmas carols to create the perfect winter atmosphere. They also welcome guest musician Igor de Rycke from Belgium, who has come along especially to perform the Bach Trio Sonata in G major.

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Ronald Christiaan Nijenhuis spends most of his time as president of C.S.V. Ichthus Utrecht. Besides his background in microbiology, he also has a great passion for music. This passion is expressed in his work as a church organist and in playing and singing in various bands. His piano improvisations on Christian Christmas music will be a warm welcome, especially at Gouda station!
