The Brexit Trio, consisting of Hidde van der Ligt, Paul Blondiau, and Pietro Vukich, delivers an atmospheric mix of acoustic jazz and soul. In the atmospheric, candle-lit Old Catholic Church on the Hoge Gouwe, they will deliver an evocative mix of acoustic jazz and soul.
Paul and Pietro, hailing from London and Italy respectively, are studying piano and bass at the Conservatory in Amsterdam, bringing an international sound to the ensemble.
Hidde, a singer and guitarist, is in his final year at the Coornhert Gymnasium in Gouda. For him, this is a special return to Gouda by Candlelight, as he was once a member of the Ridderslag children’s choir, performing in front of 20,000 people by the illuminated Christmas tree as a young boy.
This promises to be an intimate and warm musical experience on this special December day. With their unique sound and lively interplay, the trio hopes to bring the magic of Gouda by Candlelight to life in a surprising way.

‘Uit volle borst Kerst!’ To get into the Christmas spirit, join Robert Vuijk for a heartfelt sing-along featuring a mix of well-known and lesser-known Christmas songs from various countries and in multiple languages. The songs, ranging from calm and tender to lively and swinging, will set the perfect festive mood. Fun for all ages!

The Gouda Christian Chamber Choir Amicanto is made up of enthusiastic seniors who sing at a high level. During Gouda by Candlelight, Amicanto will perform well-known as well as beautiful, lesser-known Christmas carols from various countries and in multiple languages.

Het Barokensemble performs pieces by renowned Baroque composers such as Telemann, Handel, and Vivaldi, as well as works by lesser-known composers. Alongside recorders, transverse flutes, and a violin, you will also hear a chest organ or harpsichord. Let yourself be transported by this beautiful music, which resonates magnificently in the Old Catholic Church.
20.15 – 21.00 uur
Het Noorderkoor consists of 30 enthusiastic, fun and driven singers. The choir sings under the inspiring leadership of Frans van de Vaart and is accompanied on the piano by Robert Vuijk.
