From 13:30 until late in the evening you can enter the Gouda Theatre for free and be surprised by live music, children’s films and a sing-along. When you leave the Theatre to enjoy the beautiful program at other locations, the Lord of Reception (Arnoud de Graaff) will sound your farewell (13:45 – 14:30).

This year’s opening concert will once again be spectacularly performed by the Gouwe Bigband, led by conductor Marijn Wigman and singer Stefanie Kenter. Their shared love for swinging and jazzy music guarantees a festive start to Gouda by Candlelight 2024.

The X-mas Sing-along is back and it’s going to be a blast! A steamy live band and fantastic soloists perform all the big Christmas hits, such as All I Want for Christmas, Last Christmas and many more. We will provide a large screen with all the lyrics, so put on your ugly Christmas sweater, put on your lights and sing along loudly! The foyers are constantly buzzing with live performances. From local talent to atmospheric Christmas classics from Mark Lotterman, So-Fi and various choirs. Let yourself be carried away by the feel-good Christmas atmosphere and enjoy the magic to the fullest. You can also enjoy world-famous and oriental (Christmas) music by violinist Anan Alkamadi, Boudewijn Zwart on his home carillon and Lina Gronemayer on the bass clarinet. Lidor Ram Mesika and Draymaill Diaz perform music from all corners of the world, accompanied by electric piano and oboe. The evening ends with a concert by Now & Forever and a performance by Mirakel Theater.

The theater café turns into a banging party room with the best beats. Come by and swing the evening away on the dance floor! You don’t want to miss this party!

De Goudse Popschool lets their young talents shine! They play a mix of songs, including undoubtedly a unique arrangement of a Christmas classic. Come by and discover the stars of tomorrow.

There is also plenty to do for the children! Experience a magical afternoon full of children’s Christmas films and come decorate Christmas cakes in the Golden Hall while your parents enjoy the theater café or a performance.
