This year’s opening concert will showcase the Gouwe Bigband conducted by Marijn Wigman. The Gouwe Bigband play music that is ‘easy on the ear’, that makes people happy and gets them moving. The shared love for swinging and jazzy music guarantees a festive start of Gouda by Candlelight 2023! They started as a project in 2018 and had their first performance in 2019. And since then it has been a welcome act at parties, mixers and events in Gouda and the surrounding area.
21.00 – 22.00 uur
X-mas Sing-along is back! With a ‘steaming’ live band and awesome soloists, they ensure an evening with all the big Christmas hits and Christmas classics such as ‘All I want for Christmas’, ‘Last Christmas’ and much more. A large screen with all the lyrics will be provided, so put on your Ugly Christmas Sweater and come and sing along loudly! The first 200 tickets can be booked free of charge at goudseschouwburg.nl, and for the rest of the seats you just show up at the door during the evening.
Kleine zaal
15.30 – 18.00 uur
De Goudse Popschool presents their young talents. They each play a number of songs, and there is undoubtedly a Christmas song arranged by themselves..
22.00 – 00.30 uur
The ‘kleine zaal’ will be turned into a party venue where DJ Seb will spin some of the best tunes to continue the swinging festivities.

There are continuous live performances by young talent and music with a real feel-good Christmas atmosphere.
